YWHAB, His

Alternative Names: Protein kinase C inhibitor protein 1, Protein 1054, YWHAB, HS1, GW128, KCIP-1, Tyr-3/Trp- 5 Monooxygenase Activation Protein Beta, 14-3-3 protein beta/alpha, 14-3-3 Beta.

YWHAB is a protein belonging to the 14-3-3 family, which plays a role in signal transduction by binding to proteins containing phosphoserine. It is found in both plants and mammals. YWHAB interacts with RAF1 and CDC25 phosphatases, connecting mitogenic signaling and the cell cycle machinery. Acting as an adapter protein, YWHAB is involved in regulating a wide range of signaling pathways. By recognizing a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif, YWHAB can bind to numerous proteins and modulate their activity.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Tyr-3/Trp-5 Monooxygenase Activation Protein, Beta, His Tag is a protein that belongs to the family of monooxygenase activation proteins. It plays a crucial role in the activation of tyrosine hydroxylase and tryptophan hydroxylase, enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, respectively. With a molecular weight of [insert weight], this protein is commonly used in research and biotechnological applications. Its His tag allows for easy purification and detection, making it a valuable tool for studying the regulation and function of tyrosine and tryptophan hydroxylases.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
