Y.Enterocolitica (O:9) YopH

Alternative Names: Not Available

Yersinia enterocolitica is a bacteria that belongs to the Enterobacteriaceae family. It is a Gram-negative bacillus-shaped bacterium. Y. enterocolitica is motile at temperatures between 22-29°C, but not at normal human body temperature. This bacteria causes yersiniosis, an animal-borne disease that affects humans and various animal groups including cattle, deer, pigs, and birds. Yersinia enterocolitica is a diverse group of strains, which can be classified into six bio-groups based on their characteristics, and more than 57 "O" serogroups based on their lipopolysaccharide surface antigen. Only a few of these serogroups have been associated with disease in humans or animals. The most frequently isolated serogroups worldwide from human samples are O:3 (biogroup 4), O:5,27 (biogroups 2 and 3), O:8 (biogroup 1B), and O:9 (biogroup 2). In many European countries, the main serogroup of Y. enterocolitica is O:3 followed by O:9, while in the United States, O:8 is most commonly detected.

Product Description

Recombinant Yersinia Enterocolitica (O:9) YopH is a protein belonging to the family of Yersinia outer proteins (Yops). With a weight of approximately X kilodaltons, this protein plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of Yersinia enterocolitica, a bacterium causing gastrointestinal infections in humans. YopH is involved in the disruption of host cell signaling, particularly by dephosphorylating specific tyrosine residues in host proteins. Its enzymatic activity is crucial for the bacterium's ability to evade the host immune response and establish infection. This recombinant protein is widely studied for its potential as a therapeutic target or vaccine candidate against Yersinia enterocolitica infections.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
