Y.Enterocolitica (O:9) LcrV

Alternative Names: Not Available

Yersinia enterocolitica is a bacillus-shaped bacterium belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. It is motile at temperatures between 22-29°C, but non-motile at human body temperature. Y. enterocolitica causes yersiniosis, a disease that occurs in humans and various animals such as cattle, deer, pigs, and birds. There are six bio-groups and over 57 serogroups of Y. enterocolitica, with only some of them associated with disease in humans or animals. The most frequently isolated serogroups worldwide from human samples are O:3, O:5,27, O:8, and O:9. In many European countries, O:3 is the main serogroup, followed by O:9, while O:8 is more common in the United States.

Product Description

Recombinant Yersinia Enterocolitica (O:9) LcrV is a protein derived from the Yersinia Enterocolitica bacterium, belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. With a weight of approximately X kilodaltons, this protein plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of Yersinia infections. Its function involves acting as an immunoprotective antigen, stimulating the host immune response against Yersinia Enterocolitica. The recombinant form of LcrV is widely studied for its potential in vaccine development and therapeutic interventions against Yersinia-associated diseases.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
