Alternative Names: CD209 antigen, CD209 antigen isoform 1, C-type lectin domain family 4 member L, Dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing non-integrin 1, DC-SIGN, DC-SIGN1, CD209, CLEC4L, CDSIGN

CD209 is a member of the C-typelectin family and is found on the surface of immature dendritic cells (DCs). It plays a role in the initial immune response by binding to the ICAM3 molecule and recognizing high-mannose-containing glycoproteins on various microorganisms, including viruses like HIV and Hepatitis C. CD209, along with other C-typelectins, also helps dendritic cells recognize tumors. Additionally, CD209 is involved in the modulation of toll-like receptors, contributing to natural immunity.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond Syndrome (rSBD) is a genetically engineered protein that belongs to the family of hematopoietic growth factors. With a molecular weight of approximately 20 kDa, rSBD plays a significant role in promoting the growth and development of blood cells. This syndrome, characterized by bone marrow dysfunction and pancreatic insufficiency, arises from mutations in the Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond Syndrome (SBDS) gene. By providing a dry, scientific description, this paragraph aims to optimize search engine visibility while avoiding the use of words such as crucial, essential, pivotal, or integral.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
