S100A12

Alternative Names: F-box only protein 6, F-box protein that recognizes sugar chains 2, F-box/G-domain protein 2, FBX6, FBXO6, FBG2, FBS2, Fbx6b

FBXO6, a member of the F-box protein family, belongs to the Fbxs category. F-box proteins are a component of the SCF complex and play a role in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins can be categorized into Fbws, Fbls, and Fbxs based on their structural characteristics. FBXO6 shares a similar C-terminal region with rat NFB42, which is involved in regulating the cell cycle.

Product Description

Recombinant Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A12, also known as S100A12, is a member of the S100 protein family. This protein plays a role in various inflammatory processes and is involved in the regulation of immune responses. With a molecular weight of approximately 10.5 kDa, S100A12 is a small, calcium-binding protein that functions as an alarmin, triggering immune responses upon tissue damage or infection. Its expression has been associated with several inflammatory diseases, making it a potential biomarker for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in the field of immunology.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
