RPL7A

Alternative Names: Not Available

Ribosomal Protein L7A (RPL7A) is a component of the 60S ribosomal subunit and belongs to the L7AE family of ribosomal proteins. It interacts with certain nuclear hormone receptors such as the thyroid hormone receptor, preventing them from activating transcription by blocking their binding to DNA response elements.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Ribosomal Protein L7A is a protein that plays a vital role in the assembly and functioning of ribosomes, the cellular machinery responsible for protein synthesis. Belonging to the ribosomal protein L7A family, this protein is involved in stabilizing the interaction between the ribosome and the mRNA during translation. With a weight of approximately 19 kDa, Recombinant Human Ribosomal Protein L7A contributes to the overall structure and integrity of the ribosome, facilitating the accurate and efficient synthesis of proteins within the cell.

Storage Instruction

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
