rMIP 1a

Alternative Names: Small inducible cytokine A3, SCYA3, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 3, CCL3, Macrophage inflammatory protein 1-alpha, MIP-1-alpha, MIP1A, Tonsillar lymphocyte LD78 alpha protein, LD78ALPHA, G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 19-1, G0S19-1 protein, G0S19-1, SIS-beta, PAT 464.1.

Macrophage Inflammatory Proteins (MIP) are chemotactic cytokines, specifically chemokines. The two major forms found in humans are MIP-1a (CCL3) and MIP-1b (CCL4), which are produced by macrophages in response to bacterial endotoxins. These proteins activate human granulocytes and can trigger acute neutrophilic inflammation. Additionally, they stimulate the production of other pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1, IL-6, and TNF-a from fibroblasts and macrophages. The genes for CCL3 and CCL4 are located on human chromosome 17.

Product Description

Recombinant Rat Macrophage Inflammatory protein-1 alpha (CCL3) is a chemokine belonging to the CC subfamily. This protein plays a role in the inflammatory response by attracting and activating immune cells such as monocytes and lymphocytes. With a molecular weight of approximately 7.8 kDa, CCL3 is involved in the regulation of immune cell migration and activation in response to infection or injury. This recombinant protein is commonly used in research studies to investigate the role of chemokines in inflammation and immune response.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Amino Acid Sequence

The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be, Ala-Pro-Tyr-Gly-Ala.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized MIP-1a although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CCL3 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1a in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
