rIL1RA

Alternative Names: IL1F3, IL1RA, IL-1ra3, ICIL-1RA, IL1RN, IL1 inhibitor, IL-1ra, IRAP, MGC10430.

Interleukin-1 ra is a cytokine that belongs to the interleukin 1 family. It inhibits the activities of interleukin 1, alpha (IL1A) and interleukin 1, beta (IL1B), and affects various immune and inflammatory responses related to interleukin 1. This gene, along with five other closely related cytokine genes, forms a gene cluster that spans about 400 kb on chromosome 2. A genetic variation of this gene is associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer. Four different versions of the gene, known as transcript variants, have been identified.

Product Description

Recombinant Rat Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist, a member of the interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA) family, is a protein with a molecular weight of approximately X kDa. It functions by competitively binding to the IL-1 receptor, thereby inhibiting the biological activities of interleukin-1 (IL-1). This recombinant protein plays a significant role in regulating immune responses and inflammatory processes. Its precise molecular structure and mechanism of action make it a valuable tool for studying the intricate pathways involved in immune system modulation and inflammation.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized IL 1RA although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL 1RA should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL 1RA in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
