rFractalkine

Alternative Names: Fractalkine, CX3CL1, Neurotactin, CX3C membrane-anchored chemokine, Small inducible cytokine D1, NTN, NTT, CXC3, CXC3C, SCYD1, ABCD-3, C3Xkine.

Fractalkine plays a role in regulating leukocyte adhesion and migration at the endothelium by interacting with CX3CR1. The soluble form attracts T-cells and monocytes, but not neutrophils, while the membrane-bound form promotes adhesion of these leukocytes to endothelial cells. Natural Human Fractalkine is a long protein with a mucin-like stalk that allows it to bind to cell surfaces, and it is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 16 alongside other chemokines such as CCL17 and CCL22.

Product Description

Recombinant Rat Fractalkine (CX3CL1) is a chemokine protein belonging to the CX3C family. With a molecular weight of approximately 95 kDa, this protein plays a key role in mediating the adhesion and migration of leukocytes. Recombinant Rat Fractalkine is commonly used in research settings to study its effects on immune responses and inflammation. Its unique structure and function make it a valuable tool for investigating the mechanisms underlying various disease processes.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized FractalkineRat although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18° C. Upon reconstitution Fractalkine should be stored at 4° C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18° C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Fractalkine in sterile 18MΩ-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
