CCL11, also known as eotaxin, is a small cytokine that belongs to the CC chemokine family. It plays a role in allergic responses by selectively recruiting eosinophils through chemotaxis. The effects of CCL11 are mediated by its binding to chemokine receptors CCR2, CCR3, and CCR5. The gene for human CCL11 is located on chromosome 17 and is encoded by three exons.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized Eotaxin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution CCL11 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Eotaxin in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
