Alternative Names: Pregnancy Specific Beta-1-Glycoprotein 1, PSBG1, B1G1, Fetal Liver Non-Specific Cross-Reactive Antigen 1/2, Pregnancy-Specific Beta-1 Glycoprotein C/D, CD66 Antigen-Like Family Member F, PS-Beta-C/D, PS-Beta-G-1, FL-NCA-1/2, PSBG-1, PSGGA, PSG95, SP1, Pregnancy-Specific Beta-1-Glycoprotein 1, Pregnancy-Specific B-1 Glycoprotein, Pregnancy-Specific Glycoprotein 1, CD66f Antigen, DHFRP2, PSGIIA, CD66f, PBG1, PSG1.

Pregnancy Specific Beta-1-Glycoprotein 1 (PSG1) is a subgroup of transcription factors that become phosphorylated when bound to promoter sequences. PSGs are part of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family and act as early biochemical markers for the formation of syncytiotrophoblasts. PSG1 is believed to play a role in placental vascular morphogenesis by promoting the production of VEGF-A and the formation of endothelial tubes. In pregnant women, PSG1 is predominantly produced by the syncytiotrophoblast and can be found in serum concentrations ranging from 100 to 290 mg/l at term.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Pregnancy Specific Beta-1-Glycoprotein 1, Sf9 is a protein that belongs to the pregnancy-specific glycoprotein (PSG) family. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, this protein is synthesized using the baculovirus-insect cell expression system. It plays a significant role in various physiological processes during pregnancy. The recombinant form of this protein offers researchers a reliable tool for studying its functions and potential implications in reproductive biology.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
