Protein-A G-Cys

Alternative Names: Not Available

The recombinant Protein A/G is a genetically engineered protein that contains 7 IgG-binding domains EDABC-C1C3. These domains correspond to segments from the Protein A and Protein G proteins, specifically segments E, D, A, B, C, C1, and C3. By combining these domains, the recombinant Protein A/G has a wider binding capacity compared to Protein A or Protein G alone. It is particularly useful for purifying monoclonal or polyclonal IgG antibodies. The recombinant Protein A/G can bind to various subclasses of human, mouse, and rat IgG, including human IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, IgG4; mouse IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3, and rat IgG2a, IgG2c. Additionally, it can bind to total IgG from various animals such as cow, goat, sheep, horse, rabbit, guinea pig, pig, dog, and cat.
