Human Pin1 is a peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase (PPIase) that is essential for cell cycle regulation by interacting with NIMA. It contains a WW protein interaction domain and is structurally similar to Ess1/Ptf1 in budding yeast. The PPIase activity of Pin1 is necessary for its function in the yeast. Pin1 plays a crucial role in regulating mitosis by interacting with NIMA and reducing its mitosis-promoting activity. Its substrates include mitotic regulators (Cdc25 phosphatase, PLK I, Wee, and Myt1 kinases), transcription factors (b-Catenin, c-Jun, p53), and specific proteins (RNA Pol II, tau, Cyclin D1).

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
