NUDT2

Alternative Names: Diadenosine tetraphosphatase, bis(5'-nucleosyl)-tetraphosphatase (asymmetrical), Diadenosine 5',5'''-P1,P4-tetraphosphate asymmetrical hydrolase, diadenosine 5',5''-P1,P4-tetraphosphate pyrophosphohydrolase, Ap4A hydrolase 1, Ap4Aase, APAH1, MGC10404, Nucleoside diphosphate-linked moiety X motif 2, nudix (nucleoside diphosphate linked moiety X)-type motif 2, EC 3.6.1.17.

NUDT2, a member of the MutT family within the NUDIX hydrolase family, helps maintain cellular balance by breaking down NUDT symmetrically into ATP and AMP using water. It also targets other adenosine and diadenosine polyphosphates with four or more phosphate groups, excluding diadenosine triphosphate. NUDT2 plays a role in responding to heat shock and metabolic stress by regulating levels of intracellular dinucleoside polyphosphates.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Nudix Type Motif 2 is a protein belonging to the Nudix hydrolase family, which is involved in the hydrolysis of nucleoside diphosphate derivatives. This protein plays a role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by catalyzing the cleavage of potentially harmful nucleotide derivatives. Recombinant Human Nudix Type Motif 2 has a molecular weight of approximately 20 kDa, making it a relatively small protein with significant enzymatic activity. Its precise function and regulation within the cell make it a subject of interest for researchers studying nucleotide metabolism and cellular signaling pathways.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
