NRG1 A

Alternative Names: Heregulin Alpha, NRG1-A, NRG1 A, Neuregulin-1.

Neuregulin/Heregulin is a group of related polypeptide growth factors derived from different genes (NRG1, NRG2, NRG3 and NRG4). The NRG1 gene produces over 14 proteins, some of which are soluble growth factors. These proteins, such as heregulins (HRGs), glial growth factors (GGFs) and sensory and motor neuron-derived factor (SMDF), contain the Ig and EGF-like domain. They can bind to ErbB3 and ErbB4 receptor tyrosin kinases, promoting tyrosine phosphorylation. This activation leads to the growth and differentiation of various cell types including epithelial, neuronal, glial, and others.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Neuregulin-1/Heregulin Alpha (EGF Domain) is a protein belonging to the neuregulin family, which plays a vital role in various cellular processes. This protein has a molecular weight of approximately X kDa and is involved in cell growth, differentiation, and development. It acts as a ligand for the ErbB family of receptors, particularly ErbB3 and ErbB4, thereby activating downstream signaling pathways. Understanding the functions and mechanisms of Recombinant Human Neuregulin-1/Heregulin Alpha (EGF Domain) is of great importance in elucidating its potential therapeutic applications in various diseases.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized NRG1-A although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NRG1-A should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized NRG1-A in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
