NAA50

Alternative Names: N-alpha-acetyltransferase 50, N-acetyltransferase 13, N-acetyltransferase 5, hNAT5, N-acetyltransferase san homolog, hSAN, NatE catalytic subunit, NAA50, MAK3, NAT13, NAT5, SAN.

NAA50 is a 169 amino acid cytoplasmic protein in the acetyltransferase family and GNAT subfamily. It is a catalytic component of the ARD1A-NARG1 complex, showing alpha acetyltransferase activity. NAA50 interacts with MAK10 and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 3q13.2.

Product Description

Recombinant Human N Alpha-Acetyltransferase 50, NatE Catalytic Subunit is a member of the N-acetyltransferase (NAT) family of enzymes. This protein is responsible for catalyzing the acetylation of the N-terminal methionine of nascent proteins, a crucial step in protein synthesis. With a molecular weight of approximately 50 kDa, Recombinant Human NatE plays a key role in regulating protein function and stability. Its precise enzymatic activity makes it a valuable tool in studying protein acetylation processes in various biological systems.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
