msRAGE

Alternative Names: Advanced glycosylation end product-specific receptor, Receptor for advanced glycosylation end products, RAGE, AGER, SRAGE, MGC22357.

The Recombinant Mouse Advanced Glycosylation End Product-Specific Receptor (RAGE) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays a vital role in various cellular processes. RAGE is involved in the recognition and binding of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), which are formed during non-enzymatic reactions between sugars and proteins. This receptor is widely expressed in several tissues and cells, including endothelial cells, neurons, and immune cells. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, RAGE serves as a key mediator in inflammation, oxidative stress, and tissue damage, making it an important target for therapeutic interventions in various diseases.
