Microseminoprotein, a member of the immunoglobulin binding factor family, is produced by the prostate gland's epithelial cells and released into seminal plasma. In prostate cancer, the expression of this protein is reduced. This gene has two different isoforms resulting from alternative splicing of transcripts, and alternative polyadenylation sites have been observed.
