Alternative Names: C-X-C motif chemokine 5, Cxcl5, Small-inducible cytokine B5, Scyb5, Cytokine LIX, LIX, GCP-2, Scyb6, ENA-78, AMCF-II.

CXCL5, also known as ENA-78, is a small cytokine in the CXC chemokine family. It is produced in response to interleukin-1 or tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and has been observed in eosinophils. It stimulates neutrophil chemotaxis and possesses angiogenic properties by interacting with the chemokine receptor CXCR2. The gene for CXCL5 is located on human chromosome 4 and is involved in connective tissue remodelling.

Product Description

Recombinant Mouse LIX (CXCL5) is a chemokine protein belonging to the CXC subfamily. It plays a role in inflammatory responses and is involved in the recruitment of neutrophils to sites of infection or injury. With a molecular weight of approximately 8 kDa, Recombinant Mouse LIX (CXCL5) is commonly used in research settings to study chemotaxis and immune responses in various disease models.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized LIX Mouse although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CXCL5 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized LIX Mouse in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
