MIP 5 (68 a.a.)

Alternative Names: Small inducible cytokine A15 precursor, CCL15, Chemokine CC-2, HCC-2, NCC-3, Macrophage inflammatory protein 5, MIP-5, MIP5, MIP- 1 delta, Leukotactin-1, LKN-1, Mrp-2b, C-C motif chemokine 15.

The human chemokine CCL15 was discovered in a human fetal spleen cDNA library. It is a 113 amino acid protein with a 21 amino acid signal peptide that is cleaved to create a 92 amino acid mature protein. CCL15 shares some amino acid homology with other chemokines in the CC family, such as mouse C10, human MPIF-1, human HCC-1, and mouse MIP-1?. The gene for CCL15 is located on chromosome 17 where many other human CC chemokines are found. CCL15 is found in T and B lymphocytes, NK cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells. It is known to attract T cells and monocytes, as well as induce calcium flux in cells transfected with CCR-1.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Macrophage Inflammatory protein-5 (CCL15) 68 a.a. is a chemokine belonging to the CC subfamily. With a molecular weight of 7.9 kDa, this protein plays a role in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation. CCL15 is involved in the recruitment and activation of monocytes, lymphocytes, and dendritic cells to sites of infection or tissue damage. Its biological functions are mediated through interactions with specific G protein-coupled receptors expressed on target cells.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized MIP-5 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CCL15 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MIP5 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
