MIP 3α

Alternative Names: S Small inducible cytokine A20 precursor, SCYA20, CCL20, Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha, MIP-3-alpha, Liver and activation-regulated chemokine, LARC, Beta chemokine exodus-1, CKb4, ST38, MIP3A, MIP-3a.

CCL-20 and MIP-3 alpha are chemotactic factors that attract specific immune cells to various tissues. CCL-20 primarily attracts lymphocytes and neutrophils, while MIP-3 alpha inhibits the proliferation of myeloid progenitors. Both play roles in the formation and function of mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting immune cells towards epithelial cells. Additionally, CCL-20 demonstrates antibacterial activity against certain strains. The gene transcription of CCL-20 is activated by H. pylori through intracellular signaling pathways. MIP-3 alpha is involved in lymphocyte trafficking during gastric inflammation caused by Helicobacter infection. Both CCL-20 and MIP-3 alpha play roles in recruiting specific immune cell subsets to various tissues in response to different stimuli.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Macrophage Inflammatory protein-3 alpha (CCL20) is a chemokine belonging to the CC subfamily. It is a small protein with a molecular weight of approximately 8.8 kDa. CCL20 plays a role in immune responses by recruiting immune cells to sites of inflammation. This chemokine is involved in the regulation of mucosal immunity and has been implicated in various inflammatory conditions.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized MIP-3a although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CCL20 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MIP-3 Alpha in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
