K9CRP

Alternative Names: C-reactive protein, CRP, PTX1, MGC88244, MGC149895.

CRP is an acute phase protein synthesized by hepatocytes in response to certain cytokines (IL-1 and TNF Alpha and Beta). It serves as a marker for inflammation in various conditions, including bacterial infection, rheumatoid arthritis, viral infections, transplantation rejection, meningitis, myocardial infarction, septicemia, osteomyelitis, and others. CRP levels significantly increase and show a strong correlation with Serum Amyloid A levels.

Product Description

Recombinant Canine C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a protein derived through genetic engineering techniques, aimed at mimicking the natural CRP found in canines. Belonging to the pentraxin family, this protein plays a crucial role in the immune response by binding to various pathogens and damaged cells. With a molecular weight of approximately 25 kilodaltons, Recombinant Canine CRP exhibits high specificity and sensitivity, making it a valuable tool in diagnostic and research applications.

Storage Instruction

Store lyophilized protein at -20° C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4° C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4° C.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely.
