IL35

Alternative Names: Not Available

Interleukin-35 (IL-35) is a glycosylated protein consisting of two subunits, p35 and beta. It is expressed by regulatory T-cells, macrophages, trophoblast, and dendritic cells in response to inflammation. IL-35 acts as an inflammation suppressor by promoting regulatory T-cells and inhibiting Th17 cells.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Interleukin-35 (IL-35) is a protein that belongs to the interleukin family, specifically the IL-12 cytokine subfamily. With a molecular weight of approximately 35 kDa, IL-35 plays a significant role in immunoregulation and immune tolerance. It is involved in modulating the activity of various immune cells, including regulatory T cells and B cells, thereby contributing to the maintenance of immune homeostasis. This recombinant protein holds potential in research and therapeutic applications aimed at understanding and treating immune-related disorders.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized IL35 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18° C. Upon reconstitution IL35 should be stored at 4° C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18° C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL35 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
