GLP1R

Alternative Names: GLP1, GLP2, GRPP

The GLP1R is a receptor protein found on brain neurons and beta cells of the pancreas, encoded by the GLP1R gene on chromosome 6. When activated, GLP1R triggers a signaling cascade leading to increased cAMP levels. This receptor plays a role in regulating blood sugar levels by enhancing insulin secretion. GLP1R belongs to the glucagon receptor family of G protein-coupled receptors and consists of two domains: a transmembrane domain that binds the N-terminal region of GLP-1, and an extracellular domain that binds the C-terminal helix of GLP-1. The polar residues in the TMD domain control biased signaling, while helical boundaries and the extracellular surface trigger biased agonism.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Glucagon Like Peptide 1 Receptor is a protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor family. It plays a key role in regulating glucose metabolism and insulin secretion. This receptor has a molecular weight of approximately 55 kDa. Its activation by glucagon-like peptide 1 leads to increased insulin release and improved glycemic control in the body.

Storage Instruction

Store lyophilized protein at -20° C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4° C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4° C.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Hepatocyte Growth Factor in 100mM Acetate buffer to a working concentration approximately 0.5mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made using buffer containing protein.
