GINS4

Alternative Names: SLD5, GINS complex subunit 4, DNA replication complex GINS protein SLD5

GINS4, a member of the GINS4/SLD5 family, plays a crucial role in DNA replication initiation and progression. It is essential for the assembly of the GINS complex, which has a favorable interaction with single-stranded DNA. The recombinant human GINS4 protein, with a His-tag at the N-terminus, was purified using conventional chromatography techniques.

Product Description

Recombinant Human GINS Complex Subunit 4, a member of the GINS complex family, is a protein with a molecular weight of approximately X kDa. This protein plays a crucial role in DNA replication and cell cycle progression. It is involved in the assembly and stabilization of the GINS complex, which acts as a key component of the DNA replication machinery. Through its interaction with other subunits, Recombinant Human GINS Complex Subunit 4 facilitates the unwinding of DNA strands and promotes the recruitment of DNA polymerases. Understanding the function and structure of this protein is of utmost significance in elucidating the intricate mechanisms underlying DNA replication and cell proliferation.

Storage Instruction

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
