FKBP6 is an immunophilin protein involved in immunoregulation, protein folding, and cellular trafficking. It is widely expressed in various tissues, with highest levels found in the testis, liver, kidney, skeletal muscle, and heart. Deletion of FKBP6 is associated with hypercalcemia and growth delay in Williams-Beuren syndrome.

Recombinant Human FK506 Binding Protein 6, also known as FKBP6, is a member of the FK506-binding protein (FKBP) family. This protein is involved in protein folding and is known to interact with immunosuppressant drugs such as FK506. FKBP6 has a molecular weight of approximately 59 kDa and is primarily found in the cytoplasm of cells. Studies have shown that FKBP6 plays a role in regulating cellular processes and may have implications in various disease states.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
