Follicular Dendritic Cell Secreted Protein (FDCSP) is a small protein secreted by follicular dendritic cells. It regulates antibody responses by binding to activated B cells. FDCSP may also play a role in tumor metastases by promoting cancer cell migration and invasion. It binds to the surface of B-lymphoma cells, but not T-lymphoma cells, suggesting its role as a mediator for B-cells. FDCSP is highly expressed in the tonsil, lymph node, and trachea, with strong expression in the prostate and lower expression in the thyroid, stomach, and colon.

Recombinant Human Follicular Dendritic Cell Secreted Protein, also known as FDC-SP, is a protein that is naturally secreted by follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) in the immune system. Belonging to the family of secreted proteins, FDC-SP plays a significant role in immune responses and the regulation of B-cell development. With a weight of approximately X kilodaltons (kDa), this protein is involved in the formation and maintenance of germinal centers within lymphoid tissues. FDC-SP's functions include antigen trapping, presentation, and interaction with B cells, contributing to the overall immune response.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
