FCGR3A Sf9

Alternative Names: Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III-A, CD16a antigen, Fc-gamma RIII-alpha, Fc-gamma RIIIa, FcRIII, FcRIIIa, Fc-gamma RIII, FcR-10, IgG Fc receptor III-2, CD16a, FCGR3A, FCG3, FCGR3, IGFR3, CD16, FCGRIII.

The FCGR3A receptor is a low affinity receptor for the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G. It plays a role in removing antigen-antibody complexes from the circulation and participates in antibody-dependent immune responses. FCGR3A associates with the gamma subunit of Fc epsilon for proper function. This receptor is found on natural killer (NK) cells, where it is attached to the cell membrane through a glycoprotein anchor. In polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN), a related receptor called FCGR3B is present, which is anchored to the cell membrane through a phosphatidylinositol (PI) linkage. FCGR3A is also expressed on macrophages, a subset of T-cells, immature thymocytes, and placental trophoblasts. FCGR3A is involved in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and phagocytosis. Mutations in the FCGR3A gene have been associated with increased susceptibility to recurrent viral infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, and alloimmune neonatal neutropenia.

Product Description

Recombinant Human CD16a, Sf9 is a protein expressed in Spodoptera frugiperda (Sf9) insect cells using recombinant DNA technology. Belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, this protein is a member of the Fc gamma receptor family. With a molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa, Recombinant Human CD16a, Sf9 plays a significant role in mediating antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and is involved in the recognition and elimination of target cells by natural killer (NK) cells. This protein offers potential applications in various research areas, including immunology, oncology, and infectious diseases.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
