eVEGF

Alternative Names: VEGF-A, VPF, glioma-derived endothelial cell mitogen, VEGF-A, VPF, glioma-derived endothelial cell mitogen.

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a key signaling protein involved in vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. Its main effects are on vascular endothelial cells, but it also affects other cell types such as monocytes, neurons, cancer cells, and kidney epithelial cells. VEGF promotes cell growth, migration, and inhibits cell death. It also increases vascular permeability and induces the formation of new blood vessels. Elevated VEGF levels are associated with POEMS syndrome and diabetic retinopathy.

Product Description

Recombinant Equine Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) is a member of the VEGF family, which plays a key role in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. This protein is responsible for stimulating the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing vessels. Recombinant Equine VEGF has a molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa and is commonly used in research and therapeutic applications related to vascular development and regeneration in horses.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized VEGF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18° C. Upon reconstitution VEGF Human should be stored at 4° C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18° C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized VEGF in sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
