ANXA5 is a calcium-dependent protein that belongs to the annexin family and plays a role in various membrane-related activities, such as exocytosis and endocytosis. It acts as a phospholipase A2 and protein kinase C inhibitor and is involved in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth, and differentiation. ANXA5 functions as an anticoagulant by indirectly inhibiting the thromboplastin-specific complex, which is essential in the blood coagulation process. It regulates blood coagulability by binding to phosphatidylserine and sulfatide. ANXA5 also protects sinusoidal endothelial cells from damage caused by ischemia reperfusion and is necessary for normal CFTR chloride channel activity.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Electron-Transfer-Flavoprotein Beta Polypeptide, also known as ETFB, is a protein belonging to the electron-transfer-flavoprotein (ETF) family. ETFB plays a crucial role in mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation and amino acid metabolism. With a molecular weight of approximately 27 kDa, this protein functions as an electron acceptor for multiple dehydrogenases involved in these metabolic pathways. Through its interaction with electron-transferring flavoprotein dehydrogenase, ETFB facilitates the transfer of electrons to the respiratory chain, contributing to cellular energy production. Its significance in these metabolic processes makes ETFB an important target for research and therapeutic interventions.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
