Eotaxin 3

Alternative Names: C-C motif chemokine 26, CCL26, Small-inducible cytokine A26, SCYA26, Eotaxin-3, Macrophage inflammatory protein 4-alpha, MIP-4-alpha, MIP-4a, MIP-4alpha, Thymic stroma chemokine-1, TSC-1, CC chemokine IMAC, IMAC, MGC126714.

Eotaxin-3 (CCL26) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family, also known as TARC. It is primarily produced by alveolar epithelial cells and plays a role in regulating CCR3 receptors and other eotaxins. Eotaxin-3 is involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes, specifically binding and stimulating chemotaxis in T cells through interaction with the CCR4 receptor. It exhibits chemotactic activity for eosinophils and basophils and may be involved in eosinophil accumulation in atopic diseases. Overexpression of Eotaxin-3 is seen in eosinophilic esophagitis and correlates with disease severity. The gene for Eotaxin-3 is located on chromosome 7.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Eotaxin-3 (CCL26) is a chemokine protein belonging to the CC subfamily. It plays a role in the recruitment of eosinophils, basophils, and T cells to sites of inflammation. With a molecular weight of approximately 8.9 kDa, this protein is involved in the regulation of immune responses and inflammatory processes. Recombinant Human Eotaxin-3 (CCL26) is commonly used in research studies to investigate its role in various diseases and conditions.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
