EFNB1

Alternative Names: Craniofrontonasal Syndrome (craniofrontonasal dysplasia), CFND, CFNS, ephrin-B1, EFL-3, Elk-L, ELK ligand, LERK2, EPLG2, EPH-related receptor tyrosine kinase ligand 2, MGC8782.

EFNB1 is a part of the Eph family of proteins, specifically belonging to the ephrin-B group. These proteins serve as ligands for Eph receptors. EFNB1 contains tyrosine residues within its structure that become phosphorylated upon interaction with an EphB receptor. Furthermore, EFNB1 also transmits signals through its C-terminal protein interfaces, which affect cell attachment and migration mediated by integrins.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Ephrin-B1 is a protein that belongs to the ephrin family, specifically the B subfamily. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, it plays a significant role in cell signaling and communication. This protein is involved in various biological processes, including tissue development, angiogenesis, and neuronal guidance. Its precise functions are regulated through interactions with Eph receptors, leading to downstream signaling cascades. Recombinant Human Ephrin-B1 is widely utilized in scientific research to investigate its role in cellular processes and to develop potential therapeutic interventions.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
