DYRK1A

Alternative Names: Dual Specificity Yak1-related kinase, Dyrk1a, PSK47, Dual specificity tyrosine-phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A, Dual specificity YAK1-related kinase, Protein kinase minibrain homolog, RP86, MNBH.

DYRK1A, a member of the DYRK family, possesses a nuclear targeting signal sequence, leucine zipper motif, and protein kinase domain. It catalyzes autophosphorylation on serine/threonine and tyrosine residues, playing a role in a cell proliferation signaling pathway. DYRK1A shows substrate preference for proline at position P+1 and arginine at position P-3.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Dual-Specificity Tyrosine-(Y)-Phosphorylation Regulated 1A is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family, specifically classified as a dual-specificity phosphatase. This protein weighs approximately 37 kDa and plays a role in the regulation of cellular signaling pathways by dephosphorylating both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine/threonine residues on target proteins. Its enzymatic activity is tightly controlled by phosphorylation events, making it a key player in the intricate network of cellular signaling cascades.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
