DNAL1

Alternative Names: C14orf168, CILD16, DNAL1, Dynein light chain 1, axonemal.

DNAL1 is a crucial component of the outer dynein arms complex, serving as a molecular motor that enables the movement of cilia. It operates by utilizing ATP as a source of energy. DNAL1 is predominantly found in tissues containing motile cilia or flagella, and it plays a significant role in the motion of sperm flagella. This gene undergoes alternate splicing, resulting in the formation of multiple transcript variants.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Dynein Axonemal Light Chain 1 is a protein that belongs to the dynein axonemal light chain family. With a weight of approximately X kDa, this protein plays a significant role in the functioning of cilia and flagella by participating in the regulation of their movement. It acts as a crucial component in the assembly and stability of the axoneme, a microtubule-based structure found in these motile organelles. Through its interaction with other proteins, Recombinant Human Dynein Axonemal Light Chain 1 contributes to the proper coordination and generation of the rhythmic beating motion essential for various cellular processes.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
