DnaJ

Alternative Names: HSP-40, HSP40, DnaJ, DNAJB1, HSPF1, Hdj1, DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 1, Heat shock 40 kDa protein 1, Heat shock protein 40, DnaJ protein homolog 1, HDJ-1, Sis1.

Human HSP40 is a 40kDa heat shock protein that shares similarities with the bacterial DnaJ heat shock protein. It plays a role in folding, transport, and assembly processes within cells. The J-domain within the HSP40 protein is responsible for its interaction with the ATPase domain of DnaK.

Product Description

Recombinant Human DnaJ (HSP40) is a protein that belongs to the DnaJ family, which is involved in various cellular processes. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, this protein plays a significant role in assisting protein folding, assembly, and disassembly, as well as regulating protein-protein interactions. Its functional importance lies in its ability to interact with heat shock proteins (HSPs) and facilitate their chaperone activity, thereby contributing to cellular homeostasis. Recombinant Human DnaJ (HSP40) serves as a valuable tool in research and biotechnological applications due to its well-characterized properties and potential therapeutic implications.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
