DDX39A

Alternative Names: DEAD box protein 39, DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 39A, ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX39A, Nuclear RNA helicase URH49, URH49, BAT1, BAT1L, DDX39, DDXL, DDX39A.

DDX39A is a member of the DEAD box protein family and is marked by the conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp motif. This motif is involved in multiple cellular processes, such as modifying RNA secondary structure, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and assembling ribosomes and spliceosomes. Other DEAD box proteins play roles in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.

Product Description

Recombinant Human DEAD Box Protein 39A, a member of the DEAD box protein family, is a vital component in various cellular processes. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, this protein plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism and RNA-protein interactions. It exhibits ATP-dependent RNA helicase activity, facilitating the unwinding of RNA duplexes. This versatile protein is involved in pre-mRNA splicing, ribosome biogenesis, and mRNA translation, making it an intriguing target for further research in understanding the intricate mechanisms of gene expression regulation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
