CXCL17

CXCL17 is a secreted molecule similar in size and folding pattern to chemokines CXCL8/IL8 and CXCL14/BRAK. It is produced by airway and intestinal epithelium and triggers chemotaxis of quiescent peripheral blood monocytes and dendritic cells. CXCL17 is also found to be upregulated in endothelial cells forming tubes in vitro. It is thought to play a role in tumor angiogenesis, as it shows correlated expression with VEGF in lung, breast, and esophageal tumors. Rat CXCL17 shares amino acid sequence identity of 82% with mouse and 71% with human CXCL17.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized CXCL17 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CXCL17 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CXCL17 in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
