CRYZ

Alternative Names: Quinone oxidoreductase, NADPH:quinone reductase, Quinone oxidoreductase isoform a, Crystallin, zeta (quinone reductase), Crystallin Zeta, Zeta-crystallin, CRYZ.

Crystallin Zeta, or CRYZ, is a protein that binds to NADP and plays a role in a one-electron transfer process. It is involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics and interacts with (AU)-rich elements (ARE) found in the 3'-UTR of specific mRNA species. Additionally, CRYZ enhances the mRNA coding for BCL2.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Crystallin Zeta is a protein that belongs to the crystallin family, which plays a significant role in maintaining lens transparency and refractive properties in the eye. With a weight of approximately X kilodaltons, this protein is involved in the regulation of lens fiber cell differentiation and growth. Recombinant Human Crystallin Zeta is widely studied for its potential applications in understanding cataract formation and developing therapeutic interventions. Its precise functions and interactions within the lens remain an active area of scientific investigation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
