CRISP3

Alternative Names: CRISP-3, Specific Granule Protein of 28 KDa, SGP28, Cysteine-Rich Secretory Protein 3, Specific Granule Protein (28 KDa), DJ442L6.3, Cysteine-Rich Secretory Protein-3, CRS3, Aeg2, CRISP3.

CRISP3 is a cysteine-rich secretory protein that belongs to the CRISP protein family. It contains a pathogenesis related protein 1 (PR1) domain at its N-terminal and an ion channel regulatory (ICR) domain at its C-terminal. These domains are connected by a hinge region. CRISP3 transcripts are mainly found in the prostate. While its expression is low in benign prostatic epithelium, it is significantly increased in high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia lesions, primary prostate tumors, and metastases. CRISP3 is among the most commonly upregulated genes in prostate cancer. PSP94, a human prostate secretory protein, binds to CRISP3 with a very strong affinity.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Cysteine-Rich Secretory Protein 3 (CRISP3) is a protein that belongs to the family of cysteine-rich secretory proteins. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, CRISP3 plays a significant role in various biological processes. It is involved in sperm-egg interaction, as well as in the regulation of fertility and reproductive functions. Additionally, CRISP3 has been implicated in prostate and breast cancer progression. Understanding the functional properties and mechanisms of CRISP3 can provide valuable insights into reproductive biology and cancer research.

Product Guarantee

If your product is within its expiration period, and has not performed according to expectations, fill out the sample return form. Return the unused sample frozen, with the auto generated packing slip to the address on the instructions. You will receive a full refund along with a replacement of the unused portion (inclusive of the failed test). Damages do not cover any additional costs incurred for failed experimentation.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
