CRISP1

Alternative Names: HUMARP, ARP, CRISP-1, AEGL1, AEG-like protein, Acidic epididymal glycoprotein-like 1, cysteine-rich secretory protein 1, cysteine-rich secretory protein-1 delta, HSCRISP1D, HSCRISP1G.

Insemination involves a series of specific cell-cell interactions that lead to the fusion of the sperm and egg plasma membranes. This process is mediated by complementary molecules localized to specific domains on the sperm and egg plasma membranes. In particular, the postacrosomal region or equatorial segment of the sperm plays a role in the fusion of the sperm and egg plasma membranes. One protein involved in this process is CRISP1, which belongs to the cysteine-rich secretory protein family. CRISP1 is expressed in the epididymis, secreted into the epididymal lumen, and binds to the postacrosomal region of the sperm head. This binding helps facilitate sperm-egg fusion.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Cysteine-Rich Secretory Protein 1 (CRISP1) is a protein belonging to the cysteine-rich secretory protein (CRISP) family. With a molecular weight of approximately X kilodaltons, CRISP1 is involved in various physiological processes. It exhibits a unique structure characterized by multiple cysteine residues, which contribute to its functional properties. CRISP1's role in fertility and reproductive processes has been extensively studied, making it a subject of interest in reproductive biology research. Understanding the intricate mechanisms and functions of CRISP1 can provide valuable insights into reproductive health and potential therapeutic interventions.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized CRISP1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CRISP1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CRISP1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
