CRCP

Alternative Names: CGRP receptor component protein, CGRP-RCP, Calcitonin gene-related peptide-receptor component protein, DNA-directed RNA polymerase III subunit RPC9, RNA polymerase III subunit C9, RCP, RCP9, HsC17, MGC111194.

CRCP serves as a universal protein for the receptors of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and adrenomedullin. It plays a crucial role in regulating the sensitivity of ligands in multiple tissues, while also exhibiting activities such as DNA-directed RNA polymerase, catalysis, and calcitonin receptor characteristics.

Product Description

The Recombinant Human CGRP Receptor Component is a protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of pain and inflammation. Belonging to the G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) family, this receptor component is involved in the binding and activation of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a neuropeptide involved in vasodilation and nociception. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, this receptor component serves as a crucial mediator in various physiological processes, making it a subject of interest in drug development and therapeutic interventions targeting pain management and related disorders.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
