CECR1

Alternative Names: Cat Eye Syndrome Chromosome Region, Cat Eye Syndrome Critical Region Protein 1, Adenosine Deaminase 2, EC 3.5.4.4, Adenosine Deaminase 2, ADA2, Adenosine Deaminase 2, ADGF, Candidate 1, CECR1, IDGFL, PAN, SNEDS

Adenosine deaminase CECR1 isoform (CECR1) is a secreted protein that belongs to a family of adenosine deaminase-related growth factors. It is expressed in various tissues, with the highest expression in the lymphoblasts, heart, lung, and placenta. Adenosine deaminase is an essential enzyme involved in purine nucleotide metabolism.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Cat Eye Syndrome Chromosome Region Candidate 1 (CECR1) is a protein-coding gene that belongs to the family of adenosine deaminases acting on RNA (ADARs). With a molecular weight of approximately 70 kilodaltons, CECR1 plays a role in RNA editing and adenosine deamination processes. This gene is associated with a variety of biological functions, including immune response modulation and regulation of inflammatory processes. Understanding the molecular mechanisms and functions of CECR1 can provide valuable insights into its potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
