CD96

Alternative Names: CD96 Molecule, T Cell-Activated Increased Late Expression Protein, Cell Surface Antigen CD96, CD96 Antigen, T Cell Activation, Increased Late Expression, T-Cell Surface Protein Tactile, TACTILE

CD96 is a type I membrane protein that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It serves as a cell marker in immune-phynotyping and is involved in antigen presentation. Additionally, CD96 contributes to the adhesive interactions of activated T and NK cells during the later stages of the immune response.

Product Description

Recombinant Human CD96, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, is a protein that plays a significant role in immune regulation. Belonging to the CD2 family, CD96 is involved in the modulation of T cell activation and cytotoxicity. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, CD96 functions as a cell surface receptor and is expressed on various immune cells, including T cells, natural killer cells, and dendritic cells. Its binding to CD155 facilitates immune synapse formation and regulates immune responses. Understanding the properties and functions of Recombinant Human CD96 contributes to the comprehension of immune system regulation and potential therapeutic applications.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
