Semaphorin-4D (CD100) is a member of the semaphorin family and consists of 1 Ig-like C2-type domain, 1 PSI domain, and 1 Sema domain. CD100 functions as a cell surface receptor for PLXN1B and PLXNB2, facilitating cell-cell signaling. Its involvement includes promoting the migration of cerebellar granule cells and endothelial cells, controlling dendrite and axon branching, and influencing morphogenesis. Additionally, CD100 plays a role in the immune system by promoting signaling through SRC and PTK2B/PYK2, leading to activation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and the AKT1 signaling cascade.

Storage Instruction

Lyophilized CD100 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CD100 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CCD100 in 1xPBS to a concentration no less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
