Product Description
Recombinant Human Calnexin, a member of the lectin chaperone family, is a protein involved in the quality control of glycoprotein folding within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). With a molecular weight of approximately 90 kDa, this protein plays a significant role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by assisting in the proper folding, assembly, and maturation of glycoproteins. Its function as a chaperone ensures the correct conformation of glycoproteins, preventing their premature degradation and facilitating their transport to the Golgi apparatus for further processing. Recombinant Human Calnexin is widely utilized in research and biotechnological applications to study protein folding, ER stress response, and glycoprotein-related diseases.
