Product Description
Batroxobin is a serine protease enzyme derived from the venom of the snake Bothrops atrox, commonly known as the common lancehead. Belonging to the family of thrombin-like enzymes, Batroxobin plays a significant role in the coagulation cascade by directly activating factor X to factor Xa. This enzymatic protein exhibits a molecular weight of approximately 29 kilodaltons, making it a relatively compact molecule. With its ability to initiate fibrinogen clotting, Batroxobin has been extensively studied for its potential applications in various medical fields, including hemostasis and thrombosis management.
