ARPC5

Alternative Names: PRO2743, A2HS, AHS, FETUA, HSGA, Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein, Alpha-2-Z-globulin, Ba-alpha-2-glycoprotein, Fetuin-A.

AHSG, also known as fetuin-A, is a glycoprotein found in the serum that is produced by hepatocytes. It belongs to a group of plasma binding proteins called fetuins. AHSG plays various roles including endocytosis, brain development, and bone tissue formation. It is primarily found in the cortical plate of the immature cerebral cortex and the bone marrow hemopoietic matrix. This has led to speculation that it is involved in tissue development. However, its precise significance remains unclear. AHSG is involved in the promotion of endocytosis, possesses opsonic properties, and affects the mineral phase of bone. It has demonstrated an affinity for calcium and barium ions.

Product Description

Recombinant Human Actin Related Protein 2/3 Complex, Subunit 5 (ARPC5) is a crucial component of the actin-related protein 2/3 (ARP2/3) complex, which plays a pivotal role in regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics. Belonging to the actin-related protein (ARP) family, ARPC5 is involved in nucleating the formation of branched actin filaments, thereby facilitating cellular processes like cell motility, endocytosis, and membrane protrusion. With a molecular weight of approximately X kDa, ARPC5 acts as an integral subunit within the ARP2/3 complex, contributing to its stability and functionality.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
