Ara h 2.0201

Alternative Names: 2S protein 1, Conglutin-7, Seed storage protein SSP1, Seed storage protein SSP2, Allergen Ara h 2

Ara h 2 is composed of two isoforms: Ara h 2.0101 and Ara h 2.0201. The latter, Ara h 2.0201, is the primary peanut allergen that binds to IgE. It is also a weak inhibitor of trypsin and serves as a storage protein alongside Ara h 6.0101, contributing to the majority of the IgE immune response.

Product Description

Recombinant Allergen Ara h 2.0201, also known as Conglutin-7, is a protein derived from peanuts and belongs to the family of allergenic proteins. With a weight of approximately X kDa, this allergen is a significant contributor to peanut allergies. It is crucial to understand the characteristics and behavior of Ara h 2.0201 to develop effective diagnostic tools and therapeutic interventions for individuals affected by peanut allergies. By studying this recombinant allergen, researchers aim to gain insights into its allergenic potential and facilitate the development of safer food products for individuals with peanut allergies.

Storage Instruction

Reconstituted store at -20°C or -80°C.We recommend that single use aliquots are prepared to avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Sample Prep Instruction

1. Thaw the vial on ice, spin briefly
2. Prepare single-use or stock aliquots. This stage will depend on your final application so please adapt as appropriate. All our proteins are supplied carrier protein-free. If compatible with your work and you are storing at lower concentrations (<50 ug/ml) adding carrier protein is highly advised (usually 1% w/v high purity BSA or equivalent – ensure all buffers are sterile-filtered).
3. Prepare single-use aliquots whenever possible to avoid freeze-thaw cycles which can damage the proteins and reduce bioactivity. Store aliquots at -70 °C (or -20 °C)
4. We recommend sterile filtering after dilution in media or the final working solution
