Product Description
Recombinant Human Apolipoprotein B mRNA Editing Enzyme, Catalytic Polypeptide-Like 4 (APOBEC4) is a member of the APOBEC family of proteins. APOBEC4 is a catalytic polypeptide that plays a role in mRNA editing, specifically in the post-transcriptional modification of apolipoprotein B (APOB) mRNA. This protein is involved in the conversion of cytidine to uridine, leading to the creation of a premature stop codon in the APOB mRNA, thereby preventing the synthesis of a full-length APOB protein. APOBEC4 has a molecular weight of approximately 25 kilodaltons.
