Acrp30, His

Alternative Names: AdipoQ, APM-1, Acrp30, ACDC, GBP-28

Adiponectin, also known as Acrp30, AdipoQ and GBP-28, is a 244 amino acid protein. It is produced by the apM1 gene and primarily found in adipose cells. This protein belongs to the soluble defense collagen super family, with a collagen-like domain similar to collagen VIII and X, and a complement factor C1q-like globular domain. Adiponectin forms homotrimers, which combine to create larger complexes in the bloodstream.
